I'm a French software engineer that loves technical and challenging projects. I have 6 years of experience in different projects in France and after falling in love with Vancouver, I hope to make a home here. I have enjoyed working for healthcare and videogame projects and I would love to orient my career in one of those directions.
Outside of work, I was at the head of a french publishing association called Le projet Transition. I write fiction in French and in English, particularly adventure, fantasy, fan fiction and romance. I love to mix all my skills in one project.
I hope to find a position where my background, my hobbies, my knowledge and my personality can help push your business to new heights.
Looking for an amazing job in Vancouver
Generic software engineer, with more than six years of experience.
In the last seven years, I've had a lot of diverse experiences. Feel free to contact me to learn more about them!
April 2017 - Present
I quit my job in April of 2017 to focus full time on personal projects.
One year later, I have one novel ready for the production adventure with a French publishing company and a dozen Pride and Prejudice fan fiction stories completed (most in French and some of them in English).
The game I created with my husband, Econologia, has been beta played by a lot of players, and is more ready to face the world.
I am in process of designing a set of tools all in one to develop interactive stories (like twine or "textadventure/quest").
I have conceptualised and prototyped with a game-jam like approach several video games. The last one is about managing a star ship fleet, discovering planet and establishing colony.
See details about the Novels or my Interactives projects or about Econologia, my board game prototype in the portfolio.
Summer camp: 2014 - today
I have done a lot of summer camps with teenagers (mostly geeky teenagers) to teach them to create games or to code in Java
One of my responsibilities was always to create a Big Game, a day with only one theme throughout the day, because I enjoyed very much the preparation and the creation of this Big Game.
You will see details on the portfolio about Summer Camp

I develop a backend (api rest with the Laravel framework) and a Back-Office for a healthcare project. My
colleagues worked
on Front-Office on Ipad(design and code). I was the only dev for the backend and Back-Office development.
Backend is based on PHP (client requirement) and Laravel for its ready to use implementation.
Back-Office is done in two parts : with ReactJS for a client part and with Sleeping Owl Admin for the
administration
part.

I coded the integrality of an application that manages military satellites from conception to delivery to the
client.
The
HCI was designed
to be similar to the previous delivery. I was responsible for the security part and the drivers for the
satellites.
After some time I take over the ihm and the user events.
We had a choice over the technology so we used Java 7 (last version when the project begun). Swing
for
the
graphic library.

Generic French Engineer school in which I studied Computer Science and their application in Healthcare and Biology.
Cursus is in five years. We learn about database, coding technique, and some biology/healthcare stuff, but most importantly, we learn to be adaptive, and to listen to the client/company need and to be what they needs.
October 2009 - September 2011
This formation was about how is used and how the healthcare device works. IRM, Scanner, and other device that used signals, and how to interpret their data, and what the people using it need.
They are classified as "narrative project", "professional software project", "personal software project"...
I love backend development, because the most important part is about performance. I know and I can use Java, Scala, PHP, C++/C#, for the most used backend languages. I have more than six years of experience in these languages. The diversity of my knowledge means that learning a new language will take only a few days or weeks (depending of the framework and its difference with the languages I have mastered).
In Full Stack developpment, I have more than 4 years of experiences, with various clients and projects. I know of JS, and its major framework (ajax, React, Angular), and I have worked with some CMS adding plugin code like Drupal. I am capable to create and code a website from A to Z. I am acquainted with the ux design and its utility and I love to develop with designers in the team, because they see the website (and life) in other fashion.
Inventing worlds and adventure is certainly my preferred hobbies. Creating interaction and imaging what the reader or the player will think and playing with his ideas. It's the same for my written works. I know the cliché and tropes of my subjects and I deliver all the indices for reaching the obvious conclusion. Then I surprise them with an obvious idea, that is in undercurrent from the start. I would really love to help you with this kind of project.
With more than six years in professional software, I can offer my expertise in the domain. I am able to act in
all instance
of software works, from conception to client delivery.
I can develop the idea with the client to
understand what he really needs and fellow the project life until the deployement and the client validation.
I like the liberty I had in my most recent project to choose the framework with which I will work for the next months. I take this task seriously, and begins a catalog of technology, with the advantages and disadvantages, before presenting my choices. I know now more of the possible technologies, and I will enjoy to manage a bigger project with my knowledge.
I'm interested for a backend / Full Stack / narrative designer position in Vancouver or its surrounding (accessible by Skytrain, I would prefer).
